A Successful Glasshouse Site Clearance
At Sibley Contractors, we pride ourselves on stepping in where others fall short — and our recent project involving the site clearance of two large commercial glasshouses was a perfect example. The structures had been partially dismantled by a previous contractor, leaving behind a hazardous, chaotic mess. Shattered glass littered the site, concrete bases remained untouched, and the entire area was far from safe or usable.
Our team was brought in to take on the full clearance and restoration of the land. First, we safely removed all remaining waste and glass debris, ensuring the site met environmental and safety standards. From there, we tackled the concrete — breaking it up, crushing it on-site, and removing it for responsible disposal or reuse.
With the site cleared, we focused on reshaping the landscape. We regraded the entire area and applied fresh topsoil, carefully leveling it to prepare for seeding. The end goal: to return the land to a usable green field, blending seamlessly back into its rural surroundings.
This project highlights what Sibley Contractors does best — transforming even the most challenging environments into clean, safe, and functional spaces. Whether it’s after a failed attempt or from the ground up, we bring order to chaos with experience, equipment, and a can-do attitude.
