Preparing the Ground for a New Barn
This project involved extensive groundworks to create a large hardstanding, ready for the future construction of a new barn.
We carried out a basic cut and fill to open up and level the space before constructing the pad. All excavated material was bunded onsite to form a new hedgerow bank, reducing the need for removal and supporting local biodiversity.
Land drains were installed within the foundation to manage groundwater and surface runoff, and a new surface water ditch was cut along the boundary to further improve drainage.
